I’ve created a one-woman show called Chasing.

It’s part comedy, part confession, and part truth-telling about what it feels like to be a woman who’s done everything “right”… and wonders why it still doesn’t feel like enough.

After developing the script (with a professional actor and scriptwriter) and shaping the experience in a read-through, I’m now looking for a Director to collaborate with me as we move into rehersals and a Private Preview in the fall. There will be opportunities to take it beyond the performance phase in the fall 2026 and then on tour in Canada.

About the Role

I’m looking for a Director who can help bring this show to life in a way that feels clear, intentional, and impactful.

This is a solo show that blends storytelling, character work, and audience interaction. It needs someone who understands pacing, emotional beats, and how to shape a strong arc from beginning to end.

I am new to theatre, but I am comfortable on stage, having been a professional speaker for 15 years, and I’m now pivoting to theatre. I have done stand-up, emcee work and run trainings and events. I’m a fast learner and value the support of someone who will help me shine in the role.

You don’t need to fit a perfect box, but you do need to care about the work and be willing to add to it/challenge it, so it becomes what it’s meant to be.

About the Production

Chasing is a one-woman show that blends comedy, storytelling, and character work to challenge the cultural obsession with achievement, productivity, and perfection.

Through humour, vulnerability, and theatrical storytelling, it invites audiences into the messy, often hilarious reality of chasing success while quietly wondering why it never feels like enough.

I want the show to provoke. To make people laugh, squirm, recognize themselves, and question the voices they've been obeying for years. It's an invitation to stop chasing worth and start redefining what enough truly means.

The goal isn't just to entertain—it's to leave audiences thinking long after they've left the theatre.
