I’m creating a one-woman show called Chasing Enough.
It’s part comedy, part confession, and part truth-telling about what it feels like to be a woman who’s done everything “right”… and still wonders why it doesn’t feel like enough.
After developing the script (with a professional actor and scriptwriter) and shaping the experience, I’m now looking for a Director to collaborate with me as we move into a workshop in June. There will be opportunities to take it to the performance phase for fall 2026 and then on tour in Canada.
About the Role
I’m looking for a Director who can help bring this show to life in a way that feels clear, intentional, and impactful.
This is a solo show that blends storytelling, character work, and audience interaction. It needs someone who understands pacing, emotional beats, and how to shape a strong arc from beginning to end.
I am new to theatre, but I am comfortable on stage as I’ve been a professional speaker for 15 years, and I’m now pivoting to theatre. I have done stand-up, emcee work and run trainings and events. I’m a fast learner and value the support of someone who will help me shine in the role.
You don’t need to fit a perfect box, but you do need to care about the work and be willing to add to it/challenge it, so it becomes what it’s meant to be.
About the Production
Chasing Enough explores the pressure to achieve, the identity we build around success, and the quiet question many women carry: why doesn’t this feel like enough yet?
It’s honest, funny, and at times uncomfortable in the best way. I want it to provoke the audience.
The goal isn’t just to entertain, it’s to create a moment where people see themselves differently.
